As you drive down the majestic cypress-lined road toward Casa Storica, the beauty and history of Tuscany await you. This small private village (“borgo”) rests on over 250 hectares of breathtaking countryside in the heart of the Chianti region. Historical records of the property date back to 1254 when an important peace treaty between Siena and Florence was signed at the estate, which has been owned and lovingly cared for by the same family since the 17th century. The heart of Casa Storica is the elegant Villa, around which rise the other buildings, including the Volta and Tinaione, constructed and furnished in a traditional and distinctively Tuscan style.
Villa:
3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (sleeps 6)
Immerse yourself in the history of Italy at the Villa, the main house of Casa Storica. The ground floor contains a drawing room and sitting rooms furnished in antiques, grand columns and frescoed ceilings. The dining room is well-suited for an elegant wedding or gathering, and the kitchen can serve a large group. There are 3 bathrooms on the ground floor. Upstairs you will find 3 double bedrooms, with 3 en suite bathrooms. The elegant style of the Villa, as well as the glorious private garden with a private pool, makes it the perfect retreat for couples and small groups that love art and seek a vacation rental entwined with the eclectic and richly detailed heritage of a 17th-century villa.

The Tinaione farmhouse boasts the same old Tuscan charm and style as the Villa, but in a more relaxed setting. The second floor has 3 double bedrooms with double canopy beds and 3 double bedrooms with twin beds, as well as 5 bathrooms. The windows throughout the house exhibit breathtaking views.

The expansive grounds of Casa Storica are impeccably cared-for and impressive, from the walking paths, fountains and flowering trees to the garden furniture, making it one of the truly unforgettable villas in Italy. There are two swimming pools, one of which has an infinity edge overlooking the surrounding rolling hills. Guests are free to use the bocce ball court, walk the footpaths through the family vineyards and estate and they are encouraged to help themselves to the fresh produce of the vegetable garden. The buildings are surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive groves. With its final transformation in 1700, the main Villa is included in the list of National Historical Buildings.
