The farmhouse setting is perched high in the Chianti region offering expansive and glorious views of hilltop towns, vineyards and lovely open space. The proprietors have left their touches and passion for their farm in every corner of Casa di Lusso. The property location lends itself to daily excursions, but you might be hard-pressed to leave once you arrive at this lovely and lively sanctuary. Staying at Casa di Lusso is simultaneously a gastronomic pleasure. You will be treated to tastings of the wine and olive oil they produce. And should you decide to have them cook for you, they will not disappoint. They also offer cooking classes for both adults and children where you can learn the secrets to traditional Tuscan dishes.

Gelsomino:

A large, covered terrace invites you into Gelsomino, a relaxing sanctuary with surprisingly chic and modern decor. It is spacious, luxurious and flows effortlessly from kitchen to living area with a cozy fireplace to 2 king bedrooms with bathrooms in each and back onto the secluded terrace. It is the ideal rental for a family and spacious enough for 2 couples.

Prezzemolo:

The Prezzemolo apartment is airy and light giving you a sense of openness inside to balance your private outdoor space. A lovely fireplace warms the living room, just outside the king bedroom and bathroom with shower.

Lavanda:

The oldest portion of this apartment was built in 1798. A stone staircase takes you to this elevated apartment that overlooks the rolling hills of Tuscany. This unit can be paired with Ginestra to house a larger group or 2 families separately and enables you the freedom to spend quality time on the lovely shared outdoor terrace with friends or family. When combined with the Ginestra apartment, 6-8 guests can be accommodated.

Ginestra is one of the special units that travel through 2 floors. The first-floor expanse houses the kitchen, one of the bedrooms with a king-sized bed and a bathroom with a shower. The stone staircase leads you to the second king bedroom adjacent to an intimate sitting area. The most fantastic treasure of this apartment is the private terrace nestled between the rooftops with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside and nearby hilltop towns. This unit can be combined with the Lavanda apartment to accommodate 6-8 guests.

The Alloro apartment is another bi-level unit with 2 king bedrooms, one on the lower level and the other on the upper level. The lower level invites you into an open kitchen overlooking the garden and swimming pool. A wide living area with a fireplace on the second level and the terrace offer guests the opportunity to gather privately.

Rosmarino:

This is the most romantic and quietly intimate apartment on the grounds. It is located on the first floor of one of the picturesque, ancient stone buildings at Casa di Lusso. The seclusion of this unit offers panoramic views of the Chianti valley with a stunning view of the hilltop town of San Gimignano. Rosmarino has a lovely terrace, kitchenette, king bed and a wood-burning fireplace.

Salvia:

The Salvia apartment is situated in the quietest area of Casa di Lusso. It offers spectacular views of the Tuscan countryside at sunset from its 2 terraces. This unit is equipped with a lovely kitchen, 2 spacious king bedrooms with bathrooms and an open gathering area.

Grounds:

The property that Casa di Lusso sits atop is breathtaking and expansive. You can find privacy in many hideaway spots around the farmhouse. The BBQ, pool and breakfast terrace are situated close to the apartments and offer a meeting place for families and friends. There is a gourmet kitchen situated in the middle of the property that is utilized for cooking classes and chefs for private meals. There is a wood-burning oven near the backside of the farmhouse where you can watch traditional Italian pizzas being made and relax in the patio-type setting overlooking the Tuscan countryside. With each apartment enjoying its own private terrace, there are many ways to take in the beauty and serenity that Casa di Lusso offers.

Casa di Lusso is also a winery producing Chianti, Red Wine, White Wine, Vin Santo and Grappa. They also produce a lovely and aromatic olive oil. The countryside farmhouse is located halfway between Florence and Siena, both are easily accessible by car or train. Casa di Lusso is a 10-minute car ride from the old village of Barberino and is surrounded by charming villages, such as Certaldo, Greve and Panzano. And only a 20-minute romantic stroll through the roaming countryside of Tuscany will take you directly from Casa di Lusso to the charming hilltop village of Sant’Appiano, where you will find a church and restaurant. A mere 15 minutes by car will bring you to the famously picturesque town of San Gimignano.
