Casa del Cortile is an impressively large and beautiful old stone building with many separate entrances surrounding a massive and stunning courtyard. The open garden around the estate blends into the natural landscape of the Tuscan countryside. Rows of olive trees and lavender lead to open fields and the view spreading over the Val d’Orcia region of Tuscany. Casa del Cortile promises a luxurious getaway, whether you rent the main house and enjoy its private terraces and pool, or one or more of the apartments, or even the entire estate for a large group. The English-speaking owner is available to welcome you and help you enjoy your stay.

The main house of Casa del Cortile enjoys a separate entrance and private pool, terraces and gardens. It was renovated for and occupied by the estate’s owner and contains beautiful antiques and artwork throughout, as well as spectacular views of the dramatic Val d’Orcia region of Tuscany.

Ground Floor:
The entrance hallway leads to a cloakroom and half bathroom, library, living room, spectacular open kitchen with dining room, smaller additional kitchen and bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is an adjoining terrace facing the sunset, with a wood oven for al fresco dining.

First Floor:
The first floor contains 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Antique family furniture and lovely objects of art sparkle throughout the house.

Apartments:
€336/3 nights – €2,555/week (note 3-night minimum)

Each apartment is a self-contained sanctuary with its own kitchen. The apartments have been carefully restored to maintain the old terracotta floors and wooden beams. Each one reflects the combined charm of antique furniture and modern fittings. The walls are washed in a light terracotta color, and an open fireplace makes each house warm and welcoming. Casa del Cortile’s grounds include a common dining room and professional kitchen that can prepare meals upon request, a pool, tennis court, and children’s playground, making it the perfect getaway for a family reunion.

Grounds:
Walking the grounds of Casa del Cortile is a joy to the senses. A great lime tree in the center of the courtyard provides shade and when in season, fills the air with its scent. The sides of the building are lined with fragrant, climbing plants. The main house of Casa del Cortile enjoys a private pool, garden and terraces, while the apartments share a pool in a separate location, near the tennis courts and children’s playground. During the summer months, tables and deck chairs are set in the shade in secluded spots, and barbecues provided for outdoor meals. A dining room and professional kitchen have recently been opened where gourmet Tuscan meals with home-made pasta and seasonal fruits and vegetables from the estate’s garden are prepared upon request.
