This recently and beautifully renovated 15th-century villa was originally constructed as a house for pilgrims passing into the Val d’Orcia region of Tuscany. The family that currently owns the estate purchased it in the 1920s along with a great deal of surrounding land and set about restoring agriculture to this beautiful pocket of Tuscany. The villa’s famous gardens will take your breath away. With its exquisite antique furniture, comfortable beds and lovely rooms offering both privacy and the opportunity for family gatherings, the inviting villa exudes old-world charm. Rent the villa for a destination wedding, a family reunion or simply a gathering of old friends. The English-speaking owner is available to welcome you and help you enjoy your stay.

Ground Floor:

Enter the raised ground floor through a beautiful entrance and find a hallway leading to a library and coat room on the right and a living room and 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms on the left. Straight ahead is the dramatic balconied dining hall, surrounded on all sides by lovely rooms- a study and 4 bedrooms, with ensuite bathrooms.

Lower Ground Floor:
Down the stairs from the ground floor, but still inviting natural light due to the slope of the land, is a lower ground floor with many beautiful and comfortable spaces for group gatherings. There is a large kitchen (reserved for staff), dining room, breakfast room and garden room to the left and a living room straight ahead. Along the back of the building is a large music room.

Upper Floor:
The upper floor contains a balcony viewing area down into the frescoed dining room on the ground floor. Surrounding the balcony are 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and beautiful garden views. Along the left side of the building, you will find 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

Grounds:

Casa dei Giardini, or “House of the Gardens,” boasts world-class gardens, which are at the exclusive disposal of villa guests other than Wednesday afternoons when guided tours take place (respecting the privacy of the villa renters). The sculpted trees and countless flowering plants, the winding paths and the views of the nearby hills will take your breath away. On the other side of the house, villa guests enjoy their private pool adjacent to the stunning lemon house, where the estate’s hundreds of lemon trees are kept during the winter months.
