Lucca is such an incredibly beautiful Tuscan town, with so much history and culture everywhere you turn within this walled city. These famous Renaissance-era walls around Lucca have remained intact for centuries since they were used to protect the people of Lucca during times of unsettlement and war. The walls now carry both locals and tourists alike along a rectangular-shaped promenade resting gently above this quaint, authentic Central Tuscan village. You can stroll or rent bicycles and cruise along the outer rim of the city and see Lucca from a very unique and spectacular view. Lucca is host to a diverse and rich option of activities from high-end shopping along Via Fillungo to practicing the secret art of negotiation at the local outdoor markets.
