Tuscany, the Best Place to Travel With Kids
We sometimes hear concerns from parents that their kids are too young to bring on a vacation to Tuscany, but we actually think it’s the best place to travel with kids. We understand that sometimes it’s about the trip itself, but if you follow our advice on travel times and avoiding jet lag, no problem. There’s also the question of where to stay and what to do. Take it from two families who just returned from fabulous Spring Break trips to Tuscany with their kids:
This family opted to stay in the countryside at Casa di Lusso and enjoy farm visits and other kid-friendly activities, while not sacrificing quality adult time– “It was magical, a dream, everything we wanted and more. I didn’t capture from the website exactly how family-friendly it is. There are daily chicken feedings and kid-friendly cooking classes (with kid-size aprons for us to keep). My mom and husband joined in on the classes and the staff served us the results as a beautiful dinner. There is a playground on site. The wine and olive oil tasting room has a corner for kids to play, so the adults can taste in peace. They even organized an egg hunt and cake for all the kids on the Monday after Easter. Egg hunting through an olive grove in Tuscany won’t ever be topped!”
This family opted for a jaunt to Florence and stayed in Appartamento dei Fossi, to explore the city and take a day trip with our favorite kid-friendly driver– “Just wanted to say thank you for your help with our trip. We had a fabulous time. Appartamento dei Fossi was a perfect place for us, the kids loved the loft! We also had a great day touring San Gimigiano and Siena with the driver you recommended. Everything was great with your help. Can’t wait to go back.”
