Casa dell’Arte is a beautiful, classically styled Tuscan villa in Impruneta with close proximity to central Florence. The main house has 5 beautiful bedrooms and the property offers the option to include a small additional guest house for two that has been recently renovated. The villa is exquisitely maintained by a friendly mother-daughter team that spend their days working with culinary students at their cooking school, located on the property. They feature local and traditional Tuscan dishes; at your option, you can join them for a local market stroll and day of cooking under their tutelage (imagine the meals you will experience during your stay). This classic farmhouse is nestled in the Tuscan hills, is situated a short stroll from the quaint town of Impruneta, and is located only 20 minutes from Florence – providing you the best of Tuscany’s worlds. The home has been elegantly and comfortably renovated with everyday amenities, and the landscape is maintained nicely to reflect the Tuscan countryside.

Ground Floor and Guest House:
The home’s front porch invites relaxation and serenity; an ideal place to have your morning coffee and biscotti. The walls of this villa are adorned with original artwork by the owner’s father, highlighted throughout the white-washed living room that centers itself around a gorgeous fireplace. This room is perfect for an afternoon repose as it is filled with books, open space and oversized sofas. Just off the well-equipped kitchen is a quiet staircase that leads you to the lower level where you will find a secluded, intimate bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Located next to the villa is a recently renovated and beautifully decorated guest house, which the owners make available for an extra fee. It has an independent entrance, air conditioning, large queen-sized sofa bed and en suite bathroom with shower.

First Floor Level:
The first floor of the house has three expansive bedrooms all with sweeping views of the vineyard and olive grove hills surrounding the hillside. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms that have been recently renovated.

Loft Level:
If you blink, you might miss this sweet little single bedroom. Thankfully, it does have a window with a view.

Grounds:
Much attention has been paid to everything this farmhouse offers, but the exterior is the most magnificent aspect of Casa dell’Arte. At the entrance to the house, there is a covered patio filled with cozy chairs and a casual dining table – making it the ideal setting for relaxing with a good book, stealing an afternoon nap or sitting quietly within the peaceful surrounding of this secluded gem. The pool located around the back of the house is gorgeous. It is accessed by ascending a stone terrace with lovely statues and an outdoor dining area. Across the property, there are endless nooks and crannies where one can retreat with a good book or camera or laptop and lose yourself in the beautiful scene.

Impruneta is a little village just on the outskirts of Florence, primarily known for its terracotta pottery made from local clay. Farmer’s markets share the main town square with an Etruscan church that dates back to 1060. Standing in contrast to the historical features of this town are the boutiques and store-fronts filled with custom clothing and leather products. Within walking distance from Casa dell’Arte are a number of quaint trattorias as well as upscale dining options. Impruneta is a gem of a town cradled into the Tuscan countryside. If you like access to Florence, but value a beautifully appointed classic villa nestled into a quaint Tuscan town, Casa dell’Arte may be the ideal home for your vacation.

    Testimonials

Kathy (Portola Valley) stayed at Casa dell’Arte during Summer 2015

“Our trip was amazing! Thank you Brandy and Laura for all your time and assistance coordinating Casa dell’Arte and your Tuscany recommendations. We’ve been on-the-go since we returned, but haven’t stopped talking about it! The villa was magical. The owners went above and beyond as gracious hosts. Italy has changed our approach to food and cooking (especially for the kids)! We all want to return asap! (I wish we were still there). Your recommendations for museums and walking tours were perfect. The guides connected with the kids and made it a memorable experience. Geoff and I loved the wine tours, and we’re enjoying the wines now at home.

Thanks again for such a wonderful experience.”

Nathan (San Jose, California) stayed at Casa dell’Arte and Casa di Viti Rossi during Summer 2014

"3 generations of our family made the journey to Italy this past summer, and it was truly one of the most memorable few weeks of our lives! 7 of us – ranging in age from 5 to 70 – spent 2 amazing weeks in Tuscany, and we couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Brandy and Laura truly created a spectacular experience – the two villas we stayed at were incredible, but it was really all of the other special touches, recommendations, and simple knowledge of the area that turned our trip into something truly remarkable. Our first villa was Casa dell’Arte, a beautiful villa in Impruneta, just outside of Florence. This was the perfect suburb for us to stay at – a beautiful town and a quiet villa nestled amid vineyards and olive groves, and yet just an easy 20 minute drive to Florence. We loved being able to get to the city easily to explore all the sights, but when it was time to head back to the villa, we could relax with a glass of chianti on the deck and enjoy the sunset. The villa was well stocked with everything we needed, and we had a great time learning to use the antique shutters and doors that made the place truly feel like “a castle” to our boys.

One of our favorite parts of the trip took place a few days in, at another villa that Tuscan Travel represents – Casa di Lusso. We didn’t stay here, but took a pasta making class with two wonderful women at the villa. My boys love pasta and, in fact, love to cook – so this was great. The women were amazing to cook with and just great with the boys – they were smiling from ear to ear as they helped roll out the dough and make ravioli! After the class and a tour of the grounds, we all sat down together to eat our home cooked meal and heard about their lives in Chianti – such a unique and fun experience for all of us.

Our second villa was at Casa di Viti Rossi in southern Tuscany. We chose this villa because it was a relatively short train ride to Rome (1.5 hours) but honestly once we got there, we almost couldn’t leave! Casa di Viti Rossi is more remote from the big cities than Casa dell’Arte, but you have access to amazing medieval towns that were just spectacular. Montepulciano, Montalcino, Monteriggioni, and more were an easy drive – and we all loved these towns even more than Rome or Florence. The people were so welcoming, the food seemed even better than in the city, and certainly the sights of these towns perched on the Tuscan hillsides were nothing short of breathtaking.

Overall we could not have been happier with our trip, and we owe that all to Brandy & Laura. It was their expert recommendations, after listening to the details of what we were hoping to experience, that guided us to this memorable journey.
